The ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) continues to produce enthralling contests and epic moments for the cricket fans.

During the clash between Barbados Tridents and St Lucia Stars at Kensington Oval on Sunday, a controversy grabbed the attention of everyone when Tridents’ captain Jason Holder dismissed his counterpart, Kieron Pollard.

In the 10th over of St Lucia’s innings Holder bowled a vicious yorker, which struck Pollard on the pads as the batsman tried to advance down the track. Subsequently, Holder appealed for LBW and the on-field umpire signalled it out.

In order to confirm whether the delivery was legal or not, the decision also went upstairs. Although the replays showed that Holder’s foot landed beyond the bowling crease, Pollard was still adjudged out by the third umpire, Shaun George. The decision left everyone bewildered in the stadium. In fact, Pollard sarcastically clapped for the third umpire after showing the replays upon reaching in the dressing room.

Here’s the video:

Coming to the match, St Lucia Stars won the match by 6 wickets with 15 balls to spare. David Warner was the stand-out batsman for St Lucia as he scored 42 while chasing Barbados Tridents’ 136.
