India’s badminton star PV Sindhu clinched a historic individual silver medal at the 18th Asian Games in Indonesia on Tuesday (August 28). No Indian had ever reached the summit clash of a singles event at the Asian Games before the Hyderabadi shuttler.

Sindhu lost 13-21 16-21 to Chinese Taipei's Tai Tzu Ying, who is ranked No.1 in the world, in the final. It is the first time that India has won two individual medals at the Asian Games with Saina Nehwal clinching a bronze earlier.

PV Sindhu’s achievement has certainly made every Indian proud. Twitter is filled with congratulatory messages for the badminton star. India’s cricketing fraternity also took to the micro-blogging site to laud Sindhu and her achievement.
