Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi on Sunday (August 26) said that he used to relish bowling against the Proteas batting maverick AB de Villiers.

Afridi was conducting a question-answer session on Twitter wherein he was asked to choose his favourite batsman to bowl at. Afridi, who represented Pakistan in 27 Tests, 398 ODIs and 99 T20Is, was given four options to pick from and he took the name of De Villiers without any hesitation.

During the interaction with fans, Afridi also named the legendary Wasim Akram and Glenn McGrath as his most favourite bowlers.

Afridi is currently nursing his knee injury and has missed the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in the process. He is also working for his foundation which aims to provide best medical facilities to the downtrodden.

In May 2018, Afridi led ICC World XI match against the West Indies at Lord’s. He also featured in the inaugural edition of Global T20 Canada League for Edmonton Royals last month.
