Indian cricket fraternity calls the netizens to help out the victims of Kerala Floods

164 people have died so far in the worst floods the state of Kerala has ever seen.

Torrential rains has wrecked havoc in Kerala | APThe state of Kerala is seeing its worst floods ever. The rain hit state is looking for as much help as it can get. The entire state of Kerala is on red alert with more rains expected till Saturday.

The death toll has risen to 164 and close to two lakh people are living in relief camps across the state. The Centre on Thursday deployed all three wings of the armed forces in a massive rescue operation. Helicopters airlifted stranded families from rooftops and dam gates were thrown open as incessant torrential rain brought fresh havoc.

Pathanamthitta district in Central Kerala has been the worst affected in the last 24 hours as thousands of people -- students among others were trapped in their homes in Ranni, Aranmula, and Kozhencherry.

The Indian cricket fraternity has come forward to help those who are affected by the floods and also took to Twitter to urge their fans to donate to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund.
