A tweet from singer Kanye West makes ICC rate all batsmen no.1 in Test ranking

A tweet from singer Kanye West makes ICC rate all batsmen no.1 in Test ranking

Currently the number one Test batsamn is Steve Smith.

Steve Smith and Virat Kohli

The official Twitter account of International cricket body ICC has become very active and interestingly, a bit humorous and informal. They have adapted themselves as per the demands of social media and a mixture of humor is no harm.

ICC has been successful in keeping fans glued to their timeline in recent time. This time it was an out-of-box tweet which amused the Twitterati.

They ranked every batsman in the world on number one in Test ranking. The reason was a tweet by Kanye West, an American rapper. "No one is better than anyone," wrote Kanye.

In its response, ICC tweeted "If you say so yeezy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯" along with a picture of the singer’s tweet and another picture showing all the batsmen listed in ICC Test ranking on top.

Australian batsman Steve Smith has returned to the top of the Test batting rankings, despite being banned from playing in the format since March. Recently, Indian skipper Virat Kohli had removed him from number 1 spot with his successful Edgbaston Test against England. However, soon after the second Test, he slipped to number two spot as the stalwart could only add 40 runs in the Lord's Test.
