India skipper Virat Kohli undoubtedly ranks among the finest cricketers of the modern generation. Kohli is adored by masses all across the globe and now yet another name got added to his already enriched admirers' list. This one is special because it’s none other than the renowned Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor.

On Friday (August 10), Shahid was conducting a question and answer session on Twitter where one of his fans asked him to name his favourite cricketer. Without any fuss, the talented actor went on to name the Indian captain.

Besides Shahid Kapoor, there are quite a lot of Bollywood celebrities who admire Kohli’s cricketing skills. The likes of Shahrukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan have often confessed about their admiration for the Delhi lad.

Virat is currently leading the Indian cricket team in England. He was the lone warrior for India in Edgbaston Test. He aggregated 200 runs across both innings but couldn’t save his side from suffering an agonizing 31-run defeat. India were bowled out for 274 and 162 in their first and second innings, with rest of the 10 players contributing only 236 runs.

Virat finished the match as the leading run-scorer from either side. While the Indian captain registered his maiden Test ton (149) on English soil in the first innings, he scored a flawless 51 in the second innings. Consequently, Kohli jumped past Steve Smith to clinch the no. 1 spot in ICC’s Test rankings for batsmen.
