The 5-match ODI series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe has become a one-sided affair with Pakistan bulldozing a starless Zimbabwe side match after match.

The 4th ODI between the two teams saw the ultimate humiliation of Zimbabwe at the hands of Pakistan, as they put up their highest ODI score of 399/1 in 50 overs. Imam-Ul-Haq scored a brilliant 113 off 122 balls with 8 fours and Asif Ali scored a quickfire 50*in 22 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes.

However, the star of the match was Fakhar Zaman, who first added a world record 304 with Imam- the highest opening wicket partnership ever in ODIs. Then Zaman went on to become the first Pakistani batsman to record a double century in ODI cricket. In the process, Zaman broke Saeed Anwar’s 21-year-old record of 194, which was made against India in the 1997 Independence Cup.

It was the second centuries for both Zaman and Imam in the bilateral series.

Zaman was belligerent throughout the innings, hitting the bowlers all over the ground at will. He hit 24 fours and 5 sixes, as he scored 210* in 156 balls with a strike rate of 134.61.

The cricket fraternity was in awe of Fakhar Zaman’s brilliant double hundred and congratulated him on Twitter.
