The ICC World T20 2007 triumph will always remain special for the Indian cricket fans because of numerous great moments – from MS Dhoni’s maiden tournament as a captain to Joginder Sharma’s last over to Pakistan batsman Misbah-ul-Haq which sealed the deal for India. However, none is bigger than Yuvraj Singh’s iconic 6 sixes in an over against English paceman Stuart Broad.

Yuvraj was by far India’s best player during the 2007 World T20. Apart from the England game, he demolished the Aussies in the semi-final at Durban with his 30-ball 70.

Recalling an incident from the semi-final, former Australia spinner Brad Hogg recently said that he felt embarrassed to fire-up Yuvraj on that particular day when the southpaw was walking out to bat.

Hogg appeared in Vikram Sathaye’s popular web-show ‘What the Duck’ along with Michael Clarke wherein he revealed how he teased Yuvi to repeat his 6 sixes heroics.

“Ho ho, let’s see you hit six sixes today big Yuvi,” Hogg had told Yuvi.

Soon after Hogg’s remark, Yuvraj went berserk and hit a huge six over square leg that set the tone for him. The left-hander struck 5 fours and as many sixes during his jaw-dropping knock as India posted a mammoth 188/5 in their 20 overs.

Subsequently, the Indian bowlers had restricted the star-studded Aussie batting line-up to register a thrilling 15-run victory. In the final, India had defeated the arch-rivals Pakistan by 5 runs to lift the coveted trophy.
