India A is playing West Indies A in the second unofficial Test at The Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton, which is balanced perfectly in India’s favor. The first unofficial Test ended up in a high scoring draw.
West Indies A batted first and scored 302 in the first innings with captain Shamarh Brooks scoring a brilliant 122* and Mohammed Siraj shining for India A with 4/68. India replied with 192, as Raymon Reifer ran through India A side with 5/50. West Indies looked in complete control in their second innings as well, when Mohammed Siraj came to the party again.
WI-A were 125/2 with opener John Campbell playing nicely on 61 when Siraj bowled an unplayable beauty to him. The ball pitched on the middle stump and roared its way to the batsman’s body, where Campbell uncomfortably tried to fend it. The ball took the edge and Rishabh Pant grabbed a simple chance to send him back.
India A still require 107 runs to win the match on the final day with 7 wickets in hand.
