Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell had a few very terrible seasons in the Indian Premier League that saw him being let go from the Kings XI Punjab franchise, which he had also captained at one point of time.

With just 145 and 179 runs in IPL 2015 and IPL 2016 respectively, Maxwell was under a lot of fire for his performance. Even 310 runs in the IPL 2017 season weren’t enough for the Kings XI Punjab team to retain him for the 2018 season.

Delhi Daredevils took a gamble on Maxwell in the IPL 2018 as he returned to the franchise for whom he made his IPL debut for in 2012. However, things went from bad to worse as he could only manage 169 runs in 12 matches with a best of 47. His continuous patronage from DD coach Ricky Ponting also became a point of concern for the franchise’s fans, as they clamored for Maxwell to be dropped.

Now Maxwell has seemed to have scored an own goal on Instagram’s newest ‘Ask A Question’ feature. He was asked by a fan “when u play well in ipl?” Maxwell replied with ‘2014..’ and shared a pic with himself face-palming.

Here is the hilarious self-dig by Glenn Maxwell:
