England football team is set to face Croatia in the second semifinal on Wednesday and Sachin Tendulkar showed his support for his favorite team ahead of the important game.

The former India cricketer shared a video kicking the football and rooting for the Harry Kane side. "Guys this time I am backing football.. Come on England!", says Sachin in the video before kicking the ball into the camera.

"Come on England!! #FIFA18 @JamosFoundation," Sachin tweeted.

Sachin tagged David James, the former English footballer in his tweet. James is also the current manager at Kerala Blasters FC in the Indian Super League, which is co-owned by Sachin.

Funnily, the last time England were in a World Cup semi-final, their current opponent, Croatia were yet to gain independence. It happened in 1990 and Croatia got independence in 1991. England has lifted the title only once, in 1966.

While cricketer Sachin was seen kicking a football; the discarded English goalkeeper Joe Hart was spotted on the cricket field. He played cricket for his local club Shrewsbury instead of watching the England football team beat Sweden to qualify for the World Cup 2018 semi-finals.

Hart scored nine runs, batting at number nine, in a Birmingham League Premier Division match against Knowle and Dorridge. He also took a catch.
