Wimbledon 2018 is seeing seeded players fall like flies in summer. However, former no.1 Roger Federer is staying strong and has reached the quarter-finals of the tournament.

During his match against Adrian Mannarino, Roger Federer won the match without dropping a single set, as he crushed his opponent. Federer won the match 6-0, 7-5, 6-4 to storm into the QFs of the London tournament.

One of the fault services by Mannarino was defended by Federer with a cricket shot. He executed a perfect forward defensive shot. The official Wimbledon Twitter account put the video of the shot and tagged ICC asking to rate the shot.

ICC returned the favor by comparing the shot with Sachin Tendulkar’s forward defense.

Sachin Tendulkar himself was impressed with Roger Federer’s shot and tweeted, “As always, great hand-eye co-ordination. @rogerfederer, let’s exchange notes on cricket and tennis after you win your 9th @Wimbledon title”
