Aakash Chopra has protested against Indian team's practice of playing football before the matches for warm-up.

All-rounder Washington Sundar recently got injured because of football warm ups. Sundar sustained a right ankle injury while playing football during India's first practice session in Malahide, and will now miss the limited overs leg of the England tour.

It was a great opportunity for him to go out and perform, but he couldn't get a chance because of the unfortunate incident.

India will also miss the services of Jasprit Bumrah for the England T20I series, as he hurt his thumb during the first T20I against Ireland.

Talking about eliminating football from the warm-up session, Aakash Chopra cleared that it is risky to play football and should not be continued as part of training. He himself had to go through a lot because of football.

Chopra said with big tournaments coming up India would not want to let their key players go because of injuries.
