Sourav Ganguly is a football enthusiast like most people from Kolkata. The former India cricketer often tweets about the on-going FIFA World Cup 2018 on Twitter. He recently shared a video of famous footballer from Argentina, Diego Maradona.

Ganguly loves Maradona's football skills and he believes he is from some other planet when it comes to his talent. Sharing a video of his 10 best goals and tricks, he wrote, "will all due respect to all every world confirms me that this genius came from a different planet ..master at work..greatest" (sic).

Portugal has been knocked out from the tournament after losing against Uruguay by 2-1 and Ganguly was following the game late night.

He lauded the first goal of the match where Luis Suarez helped Edinson Cavani. "This World Cup football quality has been remarkable ...what a ball from suarez..want to be ronaldos nite...." (sic).

Last year when Maradona had come to Kolkata, Ganguly wanted to play a football match with the legend. However, he missed the chance after the former footballer left the event early.

"It would have been great to have played with him but he could not play," Ganguly had said. "Age has caught up with him but he's too good a player. I'm a huge, huge fan of his, I have seen him win the World Cup in 1986. It was a treat to see him from close quarters," he added.
