Banned Australia cricketer David Warner made his return to professional cricket for Winnipeg Hawks in the Global T20 Canada League on Friday (June 29). Playing against the Montreal Tigers, Warner didn’t enjoy a memorable comeback as Sri Lanka’s veteran pacer Lasith Malinga bowled him for just 1 run.

However, Warner was at the top of his game in the field. He exhibited an athletic piece of fielding to get rid of Ashley Nurse. During the penultimate over of Montreal Tigers’ innings, Nurse played a lofted shot off Junaid Siddiqui towards long-off region.

Warner, who was originally placed a bit wide of long-off, ran to cover the field very quickly and then pull off a dive to complete the stunner. Nurse was in utter disbelief as he made his way to the pavilion for 26 off 14 balls.

Watch the catch below:

Even though Warner failed with the bat, his team Winnipeg Hawks secured a comprehensive 46-runs victory over Montreal Tigers at the Maple Leaf North-West Ground, King City. Warner’s next game for Winnipeg is against Vancouver Knights on Sunday (July 1).
