The historic Test match between Afghanistan and India at Bengaluru earlier this month was in talks for two reasons; host's display of brutal gameplay and their kind gesture after the match. It was Afghanistan's debut Test match and Indian team crushed them inside two days to win the game by an innings and 262 runs.

However the home team led by Ajinkya Rahane, in an amazing show of sportsmanship, invited the Afghan players to join them and pose with the trophy after the post-match presentation ceremony.

The gesture by stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane gathered praise from all over the cricketing circle. Not only that, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the gesture in his show 'Mann Ki Baat's 45th edition.

"It was Afghanistan's first game and that is a very natural way to remember this game. But I will remember it for a special reason. The Indian team did something which is a paragon for the whole world. Indian team invited the Afghanistan team, who played their debut Test match, to share the frame while receiving the trophy. We can understand what sportsman spirit and sportsmanship is through this incident," PM Modi said.
