Kedhar Jadhav had seen a way too early wrap up to his Indian Premier League 2018 stint with Chennai Super Kings after being ruled out playing just the opening game. He had to sit out because of a grade two hamstring injury.

Jadhav suffered the injury during CSK's clash against Mumbai Indians on April 7 and retired hurt in the 13th over of the run chase. Though he still came back to bat and won the game for his side, and that was it for Jadhav in the tournament.

The 33-year-old had to fly to Australia and undergo a surgery. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took care of all the expenses and his recovery.

Jadhav, who played for Indian limited-overs side against South Africa this year, was left out of the squad flying to England. He has not completely recovered yet and needs more time.

The Maharashtra cricketer hesitated to post his injury updates on social media, but recently he took Instagram to thank his fans for the constant support from their side.

He wrote, “After the surgery I was reluctant to post my updates but now I realise, you all are, my strength & my motivation which keeps me going forward. I am striving & working hard on my fitness to start playing soon..”
