Team India's vice-captain in limited overs cricket, Rohit Sharma hit out at the media after various reports surfaced regarding his fitness. Rohit successfully passed the Yo-Yo fitness test today, and confirmed his ticket for the T20I series in Ireland, followed by the tour of England in July.

Rohit Sharma recently returned from his vacation in US and later he visited Russia, where he was seen watching some of the FIFA World Cup matches.

According to few reports on Tuesday, Rohit had failed the Yo-Yo test twice while playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2018, and once more on Sunday. He has denied all the rumours about his fitness with a strong clarification on Twitter, "Dear... it’s no ones business how & where I spend my time.I’m entitled to have time off as long as I follow protocol.Let’s debate some real news shall we & to a few channels,I had just 1 chance to clear my yo-yo that was today.Verification before reporting is always a good idea"

Team India will be leaving shortly for Ireland where they will play 2 T20Is, and then the team will travel to England where they will play 3 T20Is, 3 ODIs and 5 Tests against the hosts, who are currently in red hot form.

With less than 12 months to go for the World Cup in England, the tour is of major importance for the Indian team who will look to test out their options and settle down on a combination that will work the best in those conditions.
