Indian skipper Virat Kohli loves going at it hard in the gym. He keeps pushing his limits and never steps back when it comes to improving himself. No wonder Virat has a well-toned body. During the initial years of his career as an international cricketer, he did not take fitness too seriously. But after seeing the rising standard of cricket, he couldn't afford to leave any stone unturned to become world's best batsman.

The cricketer who challenged Narendra Modi in the fitness initiative recently shared his today's workout report on social media. "Today's session included a lot of band work for lower body strengthening; including lateral band walk, monster walk and then striding a distance of 80 meters x 12 repetitions at speed of 16km/hr on treadmill. 15-second break between each stride and completing 2 sets of 12," he wrote sharing the pictures attached with the tweet.

Not only as a batsman, the Indian cricket team’s captain is an inspiration for all young aspiring athletes to work on fitness. It is very important to keep yourself fit no matter if you are sportsperson or not.

During an interview with The Telegraph, Virat had said, “You can have the skill but do not think you need to train as much as a tennis player. But I realized if you want to stay on top playing three formats in this day and age, you need a routine. You need a set pattern of your training, the way you eat, how healthy and fit you need to be. Being fitter made me mentally stronger. It was like a direct connection.”
