Cheteshwar Pujara didn't have a great outing in his comeback match for the Yorkshire on Monday (June 18) as he was dismissed for a four-ball duck. It was the semi-final clash of the Royal London One-Day Cup between Yorkshire and Hampshire where Proteas pace legend Dale Steyn removed Pujara with a peach of a delivery.

It was a length delivery from Steyn on the off-stump channel that swung just enough to take Pujara’s edge. Jimmy Adams, who was placed at the second slip, accepted the catch gleefully to end Pujara’s misery at the crease.

Initially, Cheteshwar Pujara was not scheduled to play this all-important match but an early end to India’s Test against Afghanistan meant that the right-hander flew back to join his county side in time.

As far as the match result is concerned – Hampshire registered a resounding 107-run victory against Yorkshire to enter the final of Royal London One-Day Cup. Riding on James Vince’s 171 off 126 balls (20 fours and 3 sixes), Hampshire put on a mammoth 348/9 in 50 overs and then bundled out Yorkshire to 241 in 43.4 overs.

Hampshire will now take on Kent in the final of the Royal London One-Day Cup on Saturday (June 30) at Lord’s.
