Eid ul-Fitr is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims all over the world

Eid ul-Fitr is a religious festival which marks the end of Ramzan and a month of fasting for Muslims. The holiday celebrates the conclusion of the 29 or 30 days of fasting that people observe from dawn to dusk. The festivities commence after the sighting of the crescent moon.

Eid Mubarak is a greeting and phrase used by Muslims during Eid. They enjoy several delicacies and celebrate the festival for almost three days. Official Eid announcements are usually made within two hours of sunset because the new moon rises and sets with the sun (or within an hour). The date of Eid changes every year and is based on the lunar cycle

This year, the majority of Muslims are celebrating Eid ul-Fitr on Friday (June 15) as the moon has officially been sighted in Saudi Arabia.

In order to make the EID 2018 extra special, renowned cricketers from different parts of the world took to micro-blogging site Twitter and conveyed their heartfelt greetings.
