Virat Kohli congratulates the Indian football team for becoming the Intercontinental Cup champions

Virat follows football passionately and had asked his fans to support Indian football team.

Indian football team beat Kenya 2-0 in the finals to win the the Intercontinental Cup in Mumbai Football Arena on Sunday. The social media reacted celebrated the win and it was all the result of India's skipper Sunil Chhetri's video for supporting the team and the game of football.

It was a packed stadium which surely would have given a boost to Chhetri led Indian team and they defeated Kenya to become champions.

The Indian football team was not only praised by the fans, but also by Virat Kohli, who is a huge football enthusiast. Indian cricket team skipper, Virat Kohli himself tweeted and praised the team for their outstanding effort.

"Champions!!!! Another stellar performance from our captain @chetrisunil11 and the entire team last night. This will surely provide a much needed boost for @IndianFootball. Keep up the spirit boys. ???????? #INDvKEN, " wrote Virat. 

Sunil Chhetri was presented with a cheque of $2500. He said, "Extremely happy. This is one tournament we really worked hard. We fought really hard. Thank you Mumbai fans. This really means a lot."
