Scotland is an admirable story about the progress of a country with limited resources and opportunities, doing well at the International level. There's a reason why Rahul Dravid, who has played in Scotland before, once said, "I know how many sacrifices people make in Scotland to be able to play the sport they love" and Rahul would be proud of what happened yesterday.

Scotland, who were getting a rare opportunity to play a full member like England, went on to play the most spirited game and pulled off a historic win over their European rivals by just 6 runs.

What stood out was the fact that Scotland batted first and on the back of a fine opening stand between Matthew Cross & Kyle Coetzer and Calum MacLeod's outstanding innings of 140, reached a humoungous 371.

England then got off to a blistering start, as Jonny Bairstow made a fantastic effort of 105 from just 59 balls. His knock was followed by good middle and lower order contributions from the likes of Alex Hales, Moeen Ali and Liam Plunkett but Scotland's determination finally paid off when Safyaan Sharif dismissed Mark Wood on the final ball of the 49th over and pulled off a magnificent win for his country by 6 runs in the cliffhanger.

Each of Scotland team's members and their support staff came running on the ground in jubilation and celebrated the famous win and it also got the social media buzzing. Twitter reactions came pouring in to appreciate the admirable Scotland victory.

Here are the best ones..
