Virat Kohli's wax statue at Madame Tussaud's gets damaged

The statue was sent for repair after the ear of the statue was broken.

A wax statue of Indian captain, Virat Kohli was presented in front of fans at Madame Tussaud's on Wednesday in New Delhi. But as per the latest report, the right ear of Kohli's statue was damaged when fans tried to take selfies. The statue was sent for repair.

Virat Kohli himself had invited the fans on Instagram to visit the museum and take pictures with the wax statue. "I sincerely appreciate the efforts and incredible work undergone in making my figure. Thanks to Madame Tussauds for choosing me for this lifetime experience. I am grateful to my fans for their love and support," Kohli had said in a statement issued by Madame Tussaud's.

The statue attracted a lot of visitors. They were eager to get a glimpse of their favorite cricketer.

"Kohli's statue ear was damaged due to some reason. We have fixed it immediately and fans are most welcome to visit the museum to take the photos with the India captain's statue," the official said to NDTV. However, the statue has been repaired now and welcomes the visitors. "Yes, it was damaged. But now the statue has been rectified," the official added.

Madame Tussaud's Delhi is a wax museum and tourist attraction is located inside Regal Theatre in New Delhi, India. It is the twenty-fourth location for the Tussaud's, which was set up by sculptor Marie Tussaud.
