Arjun Tendulkar, the son of Indian cricket great Sachin Tendulkar, has been picked for the national under-19 team. India will play five one-day internationals and two four-day matches in Sri Lanka from June-July.
The news broke out on Thursday and soon became a trending topic. Just like the fans, England women's cricketer Danielle Wyatt also got excited with the news.
While ICC shared the news with fans on Twitter, "Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun has received his maiden call-up to the India U19 squad for next month's four-day encounters with Sri Lanka", Wyatt replied, "Yessss Arjun!!! ???? @sachin_rt."
Danielle is a friend of Arjun. They both are clicked together many times. They first met during a match where Sachin came along with Arjun. Danielle then clicked photos with Arjun and Sachin and posted them on her social media account. Arjun has undergone cricket training for many years in England and that has helped to build the bonding.
Wyatt has often shared their pictures on social media. Back in 2016, she tweeted the picture and wrote, "Annual catch up @HomeOfCricket with this not so small Arjun ????."
