Shikhar Dhawan had a wonderful IPL 2018 campaign for the runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad. The left-hander finished the season with 497 runs from 16 innings and was the second highest run-getter for his side after skipper Kane Williamson (735 runs in 17 innings).

Dhawan is currently enjoying his rare time-off from cricket and is making the most of it. On Tuesday (June 5), the 32-year-old posted a video on Twitter wherein he was seen whistling flute in the company of his mentor, Venugopal. Shikhar revealed that flute is his favourite musical instrument and he has been learning it since last three years.

Hi guys. Wanted to share something that's very dear to my heart n is different side to me. For last 3 yrs I've been learning the flute (my fav instrument). I've had the privilege of taking lessons with my Guru Venugopal Ji. I still have a long way to go but I'm glad I've started,” Dhawan wrote in the caption of the video.

As far as Shikhar Dhawan’s upcoming cricket assignment is concerned – the opening batsman might take the field against the Test debutants Afghanistan in the one-off Test at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on June 14. Subsequently, he will fly to Ireland to play two T20Is before heading off for the all-important England tour, scheduled to commence on July 3.
