Former Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram turned 52 on Sunday and celebrated his birthday with his mates Ramiz Raza, Waqar Younis and famous Pakistani presenter Zainab Abbas during the second Test between Pakistan and England.
Akram, who picked up 414 Test wickets, was part of the Sky Sports broadcasting team and commentating on the second and final England vs Pakistan Test.
Despite a poor performance by Pakistani team, Wasim cut the cake. But the celebration turned into a criticism as his countrymen didn't like them for not fasting during the month of Ramadan. Social media users lashed out them for posting pictures too.
Waqar, who was also part of the celebration, took Twitter to ask for an apology from fans. "Apologise to everyone for cutting cake on Waseem Bhai’s birthday yesterday..We should have respected Ramadan and the people who were fasting ????????. It was a poor act on our behalf #SORRY (sic)," he wrote.

What about giving people thebenefit of the doubt? And do you think insulting someone who isn't fasting will bring them any closer to Allah?
