Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is friends with former Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds and very few know about this. The spinner talked about his bonding in the show 'Breakfast with Champions'.

Chahal, who started his IPL career with Mumbai Indians (MI) had developed a good friendship with Symonds who played for the same franchise during that period.

The 27-year-old said that once when he had gone to meet Symonds, his wife cooked Chahal's favorite dish butter chicken for him. He added Symonds is very close to him and is a misunderstood guy.

They both love to go fishing together whenever he is in Australia. Chahal also revealed that Symonds and his wife call him 'Apple' because of his biceps.

Further, in the show, Chahal called Virat Kohli his inspiration for fitness. He says Virat motivates him a lot and seeing him doing all the hard work in the gym made him a fitness enthusiast too.

The Haryana cricketer wasn't much interested in hitting the gym and looking after fitness a year ago. But Virat had a positive impact on him and that has changed a lot for the young man.

Chahal, who made his ODI debut in 2016, didn't miss out on mentioning about his cricket idol Shane Warne. The leggie shared that he once changed his bowling action in mid-tournament and picked up 5-wicket haul in the next game as the bowling action of Warne gave him more accuracy.

MS Dhoni makes youngsters feel comfortable, acknowledged Chahal. He shared a funny story about his debut in Zimbabwe when Dhoni asked him to not call sir but he continued doing it.
