IPL franchise Kings XI Punjab on Tuesday (May 22) hit back at Delhi Daredevils’ Twitter banter with an epic line stating, “Men who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones at others”.

In fact, the Punjab-based franchise wrote an article in their retort. The humorous piece started with a paragraph reading: “We Punjabis love Delhi. They are our neighbours and close cousins and we would love nothing more than to see them do well in the VIVO Indian Premier League. So it’s no surprise that they’re into a bit of banter like us, after all Dilli is known for its Dilwalahs.”

Subsequently, they posted a series of memes mocking Delhi’s awful performances in the cash-rich event over the years and in IPL 2018.

Here are some of the memes highlighting Delhi’s poor show in IPL over the years:

Kings XI Punjab had suffered a heart-wrenching 5-wicket defeat at the hands of Chennai Super Kings in Pune on Sunday (May 20). With that loss, KXIP’s hopes to go through to the next stages in IPL 2018 was also diminished despite having a stellar start to their campaign.

While the Punjab fans were still recovering from their IPL 11 elimination, Delhi Daredevils’ official Twitter account had trolled them cheekily amidst the disappointment on that very day.

Delhi’s Twitter page had posted two contrasting screenshots with the viral internet caption “Ghar se nikalte hi kuch dur chalte hi”.

It is worth mentioning here that the Punjab-based franchise had started their IPL 2018 campaign with a bang. They were placed at the second spot after the halfway stage, having won 5 out of their first 6 matches.

However, things went downhill for them thereafter as they managed to claim only one win in their next 8 matches. KXIP eventually finished the season at No. 7 with 12 points from 14 games.
