Alia was present in the pre-match IPL show for movie promotion.

Bollywood stars showing up in Indian Premier League (IPL) is nothing new. In fact, a couple of IPL teams are owned by Bollywood stars, Kolkata Knight Riders co-owned by Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla, and Kings XI Punjab by Preity Zinta.

We have spotted celebrities cheering for their favorites teams in stands and Bollywood stars appearing on the pre-match shows for their movie promotions.

This time, Alia Bhatt was part of the pre-match show. She had actually come for the promotion of her upcoming film Raazi.

The 25-year-old actress was asked about her opinion on an ideal women’s celebrity cricket team, on which she replied, “Anushka Sharma would make a good captain of the team with Kangana Ranaut as an excellent all-rounder and Katrina Kaif as the key fielder as she is extremely agile. I would name the team Chaan Mulgi” – which translates to ‘good girls’ in Marathi.

Alia's pick for the captain looks appropriate considering Anushka's company, Virat Kohli. The actress may have learned the art of captaincy by observing her husband.
