Virat Kohli has received heavy criticism from the cricket fans following his unsporting act during Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) extremely crucial IPL 2018 encounter against the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Tuesday (1 April).

During the Bengaluru match, Kohli entertained the fans throughout the match with his fielding efforts or hitting the ball and even became the leading scorer of the ongoing IPL 2018 in the process of his 32 off 26 balls knock against the defending champions MI.

But the Indian skipper made an unwise mistake during his innings which left his fans angry at him, and the controversial moment occurred during the 14th over, when Kohli nicked the ball to the keeper Ishan Kishan off the bowling of Jasprit Bumrah, but did not walk away.

Even two MI players appealed, but the umpire didn't spot it and gave Kohli not out, though the MI also did not review the decision. But later on the television replays, it was shown that Kohli had edged the ball, with a clear spike on Ultraedge.

Even a fan said that this kind of behavior was not a sign of good player or a gentleman and other say it was a perfect example why Sachin Tendulkar is a better sportsman than Kohli.

Here is how fans reacted to Virat Kohli's unsportsmanlike act:
