Cricket fraternity lauds India boxing icon Mary Kom on her CWG 2018 gold medal win

India has won over 50 medals in total in CWG 2018.

35-year-old Mary Kom showed that she is 100% fit and unbeatable

2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia have been extremely successful for the Indian contingent as it has earned the nation more than 50 medals.   

India’s women’s boxing legend Mary Kom won her first CWG gold in women's 45-48 kg category. She beat Northern Ireland's Kristina O'Hara 5-0 via unanimous decision, as the judges scored the fight 30-27, 30-27, 29-28, 30-27, 20-27 to land the verdict in her favor.

The 35 year old pugilist added CWG gold to her collection which already has an Olympic bronze [London 2012] apart from five amateur world championship titles.

Cricket fraternity has praised the Manipuri legend for her inspirational comeback to the sport, which was also the subject of Bollywood blockbuster Mary Kom (2014), where the titular role was played by Priyanka Chopra.

The cricketers from all over the nation took to Twitter and wished her on her latest achievement.
