Shikhar Dhawan gives an apt reply to Shahid Afridi’s tweet on Kashmir

Afridi had asked for UN intervention into the issue of Kashmir.

Right now, Shahid Afridi is the most targeted man on social media, thanks to his ill-timed and ill-phrased tweet on Kashmir. He received flask from almost every Indian cricketer on this issue like Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar and Mohammad Kaif to name a few.

Now India opener Shikhar Dhawan has also taken offence at Afridi’s tweet and opinion and tweeted in an apt manner. Dhawan tweeted in Hindi, saying, “Pehle khudke desh ki haalat sudharo. Apni soch apne paas rakho. Apne desh ka joh hum kar rahe hai woh acha hi hai aur aage jo karna hai woh humein ache se pata hai. Zyaada dimaag mat lagao @SAfridiOfficial”. This means that Afridi should work for betterment of his own country and keep his opinions to himself. What we are doing is the best for our nation and we know very well what to do in future to make our country the best. Don’t use so much brain power.

Afridi asked for United Nations (UN) intervention into the alleged atrocities being committed in ‘India occupied Kashmir’ in his tweet. He wrote, “Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren't they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?
