Bollywood star Arjun Kapoor lauded former India skipper MS Dhoni after he received the Padma Bhushan award. Dhoni and ace cueist Pankaj Advani were among several noted personalities who received the country's third-highest civilian award from President Ram Nath Kovind on Monday.
Arjun, quoting a tweet, wrote that Dhoni is the one who took Indian cricket to new heights. "For me the man that genuinely took Indian cricket to another level in terms of mentality, physicality, attitude, consistency. M.S. Dhoni a leader and inspiration for life," Arjun tweeted.
Dhoni had dedicated his award to armed forces. He holds the rank of Honorary Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army and wore his uniform for the ceremony.
"An honour to get the Padma Bhushan and receiving it in Uniform increases the excitement ten folds.thanks to all the Men and Women in Uniform and their families for the Sacrifices they make so that all of us could enjoy our Constitutional Rights.Jai Hind," Dhoni wrote in his Instagram post.
