The Indian Test team opener Murali Vijay was roasted by the limited-overs opening batsman, Rohit Sharma. Vijay turned 34 on April 1, and Rohit couldn't hold himself from pulling his teammate's leg on his birthday.
1st April is known as April Fool day around the world. Rohit, being sarcastic, joked about his birth date and tweeted, ”Fitting date for your birthday #AprilFoolsDay happy birthday Macha, Murali Vijay.”
The 34-year-old celebrated his birthday with his Chennai Super Kings (CSK) mates. He shares his birthday with the former New Zealand cricketer and current CSK head coach Stephen Fleming, who turned 45-year old on Sunday.
Vijay is set to play for CSK in IPL 2018 starting from April 7.He had gone unsold on the first day of the auctions but was picked by CSK on the second day. He had served Chennai in previous seasons as well.
Vijay has played 100 IPL matches in which he scored 2511 runs. He is first Indian batsman to score two hundreds in the cash-rich league.
