Darren Sammy played an April Fool's Day prank on cricket fans of Pakistan. Sammy informed that he will be landing in Pakistan for the ongoing T20I series between two them. However, Sammy wasn't included in the squad announced for the series.

Sammy, the two times T20 World Cup winning captain of West Indies, is loved by the Pakistan cricket fans after he played their T20 league, Pakistan Super League (PSL).

“Can’t believe this I’m gonna be in the Maroon again.. heading to Pakistan…I thought it was over.. I guess it’s not,” he wrote on Twitter.

But the 34-year-old had to reveal the prank after it started doing rounds on social media. ”I can’t keep this going…Sorry guys it was an April Fools Prank. Not going back in the maroon,” he said.

Darren Sammy plays for Peshawar Zalmi in PSL. They had won the T20 league in 2017. In the recently concluded PSL edition, Islamabad United beat Zalmi by three wickets to lift the trophy.
