Karachi Kings have qualified for Pakistan Super League 2018 play-offs after defeating Islamabad United in their last league match. However, United didn't lose their first spot, as they still finished with the most number (7) of wins.
The game was very important for Kings and Multan Sultans. Their hopes depended on which way the game went. Karachi were need of a win and their victory ensured an elimination of Sultans from the tournament.
The highlight of the match was when two former Pakistan cricketers, Shahid Afridi and Misbah-Ul-Haq went head to head. It was Afridi who won the battle as he cleaned up Misbah in the 9th over. The former Pakistan cricketer had promoted himself up the order to accelerate the innings.
What was notice worthy is Afridi's respect for Misbah. The all-rounder was all set for his iconic pose after dismissing Misbah, but he didn't complete it.
Here is the video:
Afridi, who completed 300 wickets in T20, spoke about why he didn't celebrate Misbah's wicket. "I have played a lot of cricket with Misbah. I just wanted to celebrate the next wicket I pick after it," says Afridi with a smile on his face.
