Team India is currently embroiled in the tri-nation Nidahas Trophy 2018 in Sri Lanka. They have lost their first match to Sri Lanka and then defeated Bangladesh.

India are missing many of their top tier players like Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav in this tournament, as the selectors saw this tri-series as an opportunity for giving deserving youngsters a chance and testing out the bench strength.

Two such fringe players are opener KL Rahul and keeper Dinesh Karthik. Karthik is donning the gloves in absence of Dhoni, while KL Rahul is warming the bench, waiting for his time in the middle. Since Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan are continuing to hit away at the top and Suresh Raina and Manish Pandey holding their spots in the Indian batting order; Rahul will have to wait for his opportunity.

BCCI recently uploaded an interview on their Twitter account, featuring an interview between Dinesh Karthik and KL Rahul. The duo took the best friend challenge and talked about the absence of Hardik Pandya on the tour.

Rahul and Karthik also discussed the hottest vacation spots in India and around the world. They also discussed various shopping spots.
