Ravichandran Ashwin, who shocks batsmen with his sharp spin, was himself left stunned when he learnt about a parody account in his name on Twitter. Ashwin is one of the most active cricketers on the micro-blogging site.

Ashwin was recently in the news after his bitter banter with former South African cricketer Herschelle Gibbs caught fire. Gibbs had taken a sarcastic dig at Ashwin's slow running. The Indian spinner didn't take the dig lightly and replied him in kind, mentioning his alleged involvement in match-fixing on South Africa's tour to India in year 2000.

This time Ashwin was amused to see his fake account's tweet. Pretending to be the Indian cricketer, a Twitter account wrote, "Today is the birthday of one of the underrated music directors "Vidya Sagar". He gave us some amazing melodies which got over shadowed by the strength of ARR, my personal favorite of Vidya Sagar is" Malarae Mounamah" from Karna. What's yours? #Vidyasagar."

The parody account wished the famous music director on his birthday by dragging AR Rahman in it. Ashwin, who already had a controversial time on Twitter couldn't afford one more. Seeing the tweet got a lot of attention, Ashwin quoted the tweet and wrote, "What the hell. ????anyways happy birthday to the great musician."

Fans new to Twitter took time to figure out they were retweeting a fake account.
