Sridevi's sudden death shocked the whole country. Everyone just couldn't believe what had happened. Sridevi died of accidental drowning in her hotel bathtub in Dubai, where she had gone to attend a relative’s wedding ceremony.

Indian women's cricket team skipper Mithali Raj, who has watched and admired the actress, while growing up, also suffered a deep shock by her death.

Raj on Wednesday took Twitter to share an emotional message and offered her condolences to the actress’ family and everyone has been affected by the loss. "It’s now 4 days since we heard about this absolutely tragic loss. Time they say, heals all wounds. I think time just makes you accustomed to how things are & will be. Adieu #Sridevi - it’s been emotional. Strength to the girls, family, @BoneyKapoor ji & everyone who is grieving," she wrote.

The Indian cinema icon Sridevi was cremated with state honors in Vile Parle crematorium.

Hours after Sridevi was cremated, her husband Boney Kapoor had also shared one last post from his wife’s Twitter handle where he remembered her as the love of his life and the axis around which his family ran.
