Australia scored 216 runs batting first, after winning the toss. Jonathan Merlo was the top scorer with 76 runs. Four of Indian bowlers picked 2 wickets each, including Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Ishan Porel. The Indian chase was structured by Manjot Kalra, who hit a brilliant 101* and guided India to its fourth World Cup title in U19 level.
Harvik Desai (47*) and captain Shaw and Gill also contributed to the team’s victory. The small total was beyond defendable for the Australian bowlers and India U19 blew them away with a clinical performance.
