Virat Kohli is currently on a high in his career and whoever rises in cricket because of batting talent gets compared to the Indian skipper instantly. Pakistani stalwart cricketer Babar Azam is also on the list who gets compared with the Indian ace batsman.
Recently, even Pakistani captain Sarfaraz Ahmed called Azam 'Chota Cheeku', as you may well know Cheeku is the nickname of Virat Kohli.
During Pakistan’s tour of New Zealand, the team lost the ODI series 5-0 but made quite a comeback in the T20Is to claim the series 2-1. During the Second T20I between Pakistan and New Zealand, Sarfaraz, while adjusting the field was loud enough to be captured by stump mic.
The Pakistani batsman had earlier been compared with Virat during a press conference by Mickey Arthur. “He [Azam] is a young gun who will be an exceptional player. I’ll go so far as to say, at the same age, I reckon he’s as good as Virat Kohli, which I know that’s high praise but he’s right up there,” Arthur had said.
However, Babar had himself said that he isn't worthy of getting compared with Virat as of now.
