Pakistan is having a terrible tour of New Zealand. They were clean swept by the Kiwis in the five-match ODI series and now in the first T20I, Pakistan lost the game in under 16 overs.

More than their big defeat, what attracted the Twitterati was Pakistani skipper Sarfraz Ahmed's dismissal. He was stumped after he slipped trying to sweep a delivery from Mitchell Santner.

Sarfraz departed only after scoring nine runs leaving his side in deep troubles. At one stage, Pakistan was down to 38/6 after just 9.2 overs. But Babar Azam and Hasan Ali somehow managed to get them over 100 runs.

Sarfraz, trying to avoid getting stumped he stretched his leg but still couldn't make it to the safety line and was sent back to the pavilion. His picture of helplessly trying to get back in the crease was tweeted by New Zealand cricket board on their official Twitter account and Twitterverse was quick to turn it into a meme.

Before suffering a 7 wicket defeat, Pakistan has put up a target of 106. Chasing the small target, Colin Munro smashed 49 off 43 deliveries and was named the ‘Player of the Match’.
