Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan showed concerned on Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik's injury and that earned him respect on the social media.

Malik is recovering from a concussion after being struck on the head by the ball while batting during their loss to New Zealand in the fourth one-day international. Shoaib, who was not wearing a helmet, was hit on the back of the head by a close-range throw from Colin Munro during Pakistan's first innings at Seddon Park in Hamilton.

The 35-year-old was returning to his crease after turning down an attempted single.

Dhawan took to Twitter to ask about the well-being of the Pakistani cricketer and wished him a quick recovery. Though, Malik had earlier tweeted and informed his fans that he is fine and will be back soon.

“Janab @realshoaibmalik, hope you’re recovering well and will be fit soon to be back on the field! Take care????☺,” Dhawan tweeted.
