Rishabh Pant made history against Himachal during their match in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2018.

The left-hander scored the fastest century in T20 history by an Indian. He smashed his ton in just 32 balls against Himachal. Pant’s strike-rate was an exception 305.26 during the innings which helped his team complete their chase in less than 12 full overs.

He reached his first 50 in 18 balls and took 14 balls for the next 50 runs. Playing for Delhi, he victimized Himachal Pradesh as his team registered a 10-wicket win on Sunday.

Chris Gayle still holds the record for the fastest century in the format when he had scored 100 off just 30 deliveries against Pune Warriors in an Indian Premier League match back in 2013.

Pant's destructive innings saw 12 sixes and eight fours. It was a memorable game for the Delhi lad as he also caught four catches behind the stumps earlier in the match.

The power hitter was recently sacked as captain of Delhi after a poor form in the recently concluded Ranji Trophy. Delhi lost to Vidarbha in the finals of the Ranji Trophy recently.

Pant's innings was witnessed by the veteran Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh- who plays for Punjab- was there at the venue waiting for his game against Jammu & Kashmir.

Yuvraj Singh praised the youngster on his Twitter account and said, "Just witnessed some outstanding hitting by @RishabPant777 scintillating ton #delhivshimachal."
