Watch – Veda Krishnamurthy takes a blinder for Hurricanes during the WBBL match

Veda Krishnamurthy is currently playing in the Rebel’s WBBL for the Hobart Hurricanes team.  

Her team was facing the Brisbane Heat in a tough match. During the Heat’s innings, in which captain Kirby Short hit a 55 ball 79 to take the Heat to 168/4. Player-of-the-match Short shouldered the Brisbane's assault, after a rare failure from opening partner and WBBL run machine Beth Mooney.

Beth Mooney was caught brilliantly by the Indian star Veda Krishnamurthy in the outfield. Mooney had hit Hancock into the outfield. Krishnamurthy ran fast and dived just in time to pluck the catch inches off the ground and slide to keep the ball in grasp. It ended Mooney’s run of 236 WBBL runs in between dismissals.

Though Veda’s team lost the match, she shined with the bat too, scoring 33 runs off just 20 balls to keep her team in the hunt.
