Indian women's cricket team skipper Mithali Raj is one of the best role models India has produced. No wonder, Mithali was invited to the famous show TED Talks India hosted by the Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan.

TED Talks India Nayi Soch launched on December 10, and has seen many many strong women appear with their stroies of inspiration on their show. Indian women's cricket team captain Mithali Raj appeared on the show on 1st January.

Indian women's team skipper interacted with Shah Rukh. The king of Bollywood praised the veteran cricketer and said, "I want to see you as the coach of the men's cricket team one day."  And in reply, Mithali said, "I always want to give my best."

A picture of Mithali Raj reading books before while waiting for her turn to bat went viral during ICC Women's World Cup 2017. Shah Rukh also asked him about her book-reading habit prior to the match.

"When you are on the field, and everyone is looking up to you and the entire team to bring back the trophy, (then) it is not just about the game. So, it is necessary for us to stay focused... and we all have our own ways to ensure we give our best on the field," Mithali explained on the episode that will be aired on January 7.

"I read books to get rid of pressure during a match. It does help me to keep calm and encourage a good performance," she added.

Mithali has a great record playing for India. She has also led India to two World Cup finals - 2005 and 2017. India will be playing a T20 World Cup this year and Mithali has yearned to sign off from international cricket after bagging a World Cup trophy.
