We saw WWE superstar John Cena trying his hands on cricket in Australia to promote his new film, Ferdinand. One more WWE legend tried to get into cricket. Dwayne Johnson, also known as 'The Rock' tried to figure out signals from the on-field umpire.
The 45-year-old wrestler-turned-actor, whose film “Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle” will release in India on December 29, said in a video that he was going to deal with another “adventure” to reciprocate the love of his amazing fans here.
Rock has a lot of fan in India and he targetted cricket, the most followed sports in the country to impress them.
He was shown many clips, from umpire signaling 'six' to 'out' but he hardly got anything right. However, he got the cricketing terms right. When he was shown MS Dhoni’s helicopter shot, the ramp shot and a slow bouncer delivery he named them correctly.
Johnson said, “It’s a sport that I would love to try in the field at some point. I wish the Indian team all the best in their upcoming challenges and to all my amazing fans.”
