MS Dhoni hit the winning runs for India in the third T20I against Sri Lanka, as he helped India whitewash Sri Lanka in the 3 match series.

India won the third T20I by 5 wickets as Sri Lanka gave a tough fight in defending their 135 runs. Manish Pandey (32) and Shreyas Iyer (30) helped India during the Sri Lankan storm. Dinesh Karthik and MS Dhoni provided the finishing touches in the end.

Since the match was played on the Christmas Eve, Team India clicked the winning team photo wearing the Christmas hats and MS Dhoni was in the forefront of the festivities, wearing a Santa Claus hat.

Hardik Pandya too clicked an image with MS Dhoni and India teammates.

Hardik Pandya and Jaydev Unadkat both took 2 wickets each to keep Sri Lanka from getting to a big score. Asela Gunaratne scored 36 to take SL to 135/7. Indian chase didn’t go off well as Rohit got out for 27 and KL Rahul got out for 4. Iyer and Pandey added 42 runs to take India near to the total, as Chameera and Shanaka took 2 wickets each.

However, Dinesh Karthik hit a six on the last ball of the 19^th over, to seal the win for India and MS Dhoni hit the winning runs to give India a win by 3-0.
