Good news for fans who wanted southpaw Suresh Raina back into the Indian side. The out-of-favor Indian cricketer has passed the Yo-Yo fitness test at National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
Earlier this year in October, passing the Yo-Yo test was made mandatory by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as a requirement for selection in the Indian team.
He confirmed the news by his post on Twitter. The left-handed batsman wrote, "Cleared my Yo-Yo & fitness test today, after days of hard work at #NCA! Received tremendous support from all the trainers, coaches & officials. Thank you all! ????
"It’s always so encouraging to train here at #NCA, motivates me to push my limits and bring the best out of me. ????"

Raina was out of the team and selectors have citied the reason of poor fitness for him and veteran batsman Yuvraj Singh.
Suresh Raina has last played for India against England in a T20 in February 2017. He had failed the fitness test in August and thus was not eligible for selection in the national side for the New Zealand and Sri Lanka series.
Yuvraj Singh has cleared the fitness and endurance test too, he had confirmed it at an event.
